Gallagher & Kennedy celebrated Employee Appreciation Day at Chase Field, where the firm's staff and Board of Directors came together to enjoy the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Baltimore Orioles game and recognize the incredible contributions of our team.
The April 9th event began with a warm welcome from Human Resources Manager Patti Marshall, followed by an awards presentation led by Board of Directors members Jennifer Cranston and Shannon Clark, who expressed their gratitude for the hard work and dedication of this year’s longevity award recipients.
This year, we celebrated the five-year employment anniversaries of 10 G&K staff.
- Janice Busch celebrated 35 years of service—she joined G&K in 1989 and continues to support the firm as a word processor.
- Amanda Powell, who joined in 1995 and works in both human resources and marketing, was recognized for 30 years of service, during which she also handled recruiting and the summer associate program.
- Jeff McGuire celebrated 25 years of service—he joined the firm in 2000 and provides vital library and research services.
- Rona Miller, a litigation legal secretary who joined in 1999, was honored for 25 years, some of which were spent as Mike Kennedey's secretary.
- Fred Sample also celebrated 25 years of service. He plays a key role in support services, including printing, stocking, mail, hospitality, and reception.
- Estela Santamaria celebrated 20 years of service—she joined G&K in 2005 and oversees billing in our accounting department.
- Maria Wiedoff also celebrated 20 years of service, some of which were spent as Mike Gallagher's secretary before moving into records.
- Rosa Barajas was recognized for 10 years of service—she joined G&K in 2015 with the criminal defense group.
- Marina Towles, a corporate and franchise legal secretary, was also recognized for 10 years of service.
- Rounding out the celebration was Sandra Jaramillo, who joined our Santa Fe office in 2020 and was recognized for five years of service as a receptionist and document clerk.
It was a wonderful day filled with appreciation, recognition, and team spirit. The firm is truly grateful to each of these individuals for their dedication to the firm and its clients, and we are proud to celebrate their milestones with the entire G&K family.
