G&K Attorneys John Clemency and Lindsi Weber Recognized for Their Work in the Successful Turnaround of Arizona Equipment Rental

PHOENIX, Ariz. (November 19, 2012) – Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., a full service business law firm, today announced that two of the firm’s attorneys received the “Turnaround of the Year” Award from the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). Gallagher & Kennedy shareholder John Clemency and associate Lindsi Weber were recognized for their work in facilitating the restructuring and reorganization of Arizona Equipment Rental at an award ceremony held on Thursday, November 15.

Hosted by the Arizona Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and Az Business Magazine, the 2012 Turnaround of the Year Awards program recognizes companies, professional restructuring teams and individuals who have made a significant contribution to a successful turnaround.

As the primary attorneys on the turnaround team, Mr. Clemency and Ms. Weber assisted Arizona Equipment Rental in remaining an income-producing business throughout its bankruptcy case while reducing its expenses and fleet size. In addition, Arizona Equipment Rental estimates that approximately 35 jobs were saved as a result of the successful restructuring.

Mr. Clemency's practice concentrates on bankruptcy and creditor’s rights and includes workouts of troubled loans, business bankruptcies, and commercial litigation. He has represented lenders and borrowers in a variety of industries, including: manufacturing, commercial and residential real estate development, transportation (airlines and trucking), retail, wholesale, franchises, hospitality (hotels and casinos), health care, food service, finance, technology, media and agriculture. Mr. Clemency earned his J.D., summa cum laude, in 1984 from New England School of Law and his B.A. in 1977 from Middlebury College.

Ms. Weber practices in the areas of bankruptcy, creditor’s rights and general commercial litigation. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Weber was a Special Education Director with Teach for America in Phoenix. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2007 from Arizona State University and her B.A. in 2001 from the University of Puget Sound.
