Diamond Sports, the owner of nineteen regional sports networks under the Bally Sports banner, is currently in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. It sought a reduction in its telecast rights payments. On June 1, 2023, Judge Christopher Lopez of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas ruled that Diamond Sports must pay the contracted amounts to broadcast the games played by the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cleveland Guardians, Minnesota Twins, and Texas Rangers.
