As an Arizona native, Haley has strong ties to businesses in the community, and she understands the importance of keeping up with developments in the law, business, and technology. She passionately represents her clients’ business interests, working diligently to analyze case merits, evaluate opportunities for risk transfer, and propels positive resolutions to complex legal matters.
Haley also maintains a vibrant litigation practice, which encompasses litigating matters such as complex commercial and breach of contract claims, landlord-tenant disputes, product liability, and tort claims. Haley also represents clients in personal injury cases who were wronged or harmed by others. As an advocate for Arizona’s Anti-Trafficking Network, she has helped several victims of human trafficking, and dedicates time to fostering community education and raising public awareness to the tourism and hospitality industry.
Haley began her career working at several national law firms where she handled insurance defense work. There, she gained valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate claims and manage risk. With this first-hand experience, she is well-versed on both sides of insurance issues and frequently counsels individuals and self-insured businesses on how to best manage risk and resolve claims made against them. This experience has also allowed her to skillfully navigate claims from both a plaintiff and a defense standpoint.
During law school, Haley clerked for the Honorable Bruce Cohen in Maricopa County Superior Court, where she gained a wide variety of experience in criminal law and post-conviction appeals. Haley also served as Teaching Assistant for Business Associations and Contract courses. Additionally, she was elected Student Scholarship Editor of Law Review. During her tenure on Law Review, Haley had her legal articles published on four separate occasions, including publications in University of Michigan Journal of Law & Reform and DRI’s For the Defense magazine. Haley received a CALI Award for Civil Procedure and the Raul Castro Scholarship for academic excellence.
Prior to beginning her legal career, Haley worked for a Fortune 100 company where she analyzed complex transactional and customer data and drafted Suspicious Activity Reports for the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) related to the detection of money laundering, terrorist financing, structuring, and other white collar crimes.
In her leisure time, Haley re-visits her former days as a competitive gymnast by teaching youth tumbling and exercise classes. Haley also enjoys skiing, traveling, Bikram yoga, wine tasting, and hiking with her Goldendoodle, Marvin.
