Shareholder Haley Harrigan Named Among the 2024 Outstanding Women in Business

Gallagher & Kennedy is proud to announce that the Phoenix Business Journal has recognized shareholder Haley A. Harrigan for its 23rd Annual Outstanding Women in Business awards. The awards ceremony will be held on March 28, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale.

Each year, the Phoenix Business Journal honors a select group of talented businesswomen excelling in their careers, deeply rooted in their communities, and inspiring all. Selected by a panel of former honorees from hundreds of nominations, this year's 26 honorees represent varied backgrounds and industries in positions including CEOs, vice presidents, executive directors, and business owners/leaders in professional sectors such as law, medicine, construction, and engineering.

I was promoted to [shareholder and employment law department chair at Gallagher & Kennedy] a few months after my former law firm suddenly closed its doors…. This really proved to me that when one door closes, another door opens. It's an incredible privilege to practice law at a firm that highly values integrity, service to the community, and tenacious advocacy. I'm honored to have a seat at the leadership table.”

Haley represents and counsels individuals, small businesses, franchised operations, and large companies on a wide range of employment and business disputes, and litigates matters spanning labor and employment, commercial litigation, and general liability. An Arizona native, she earned her J.D. cum laude from the Phoenix School of Law and her B.B.S.C. in Political Science & Pre-Law from the University of Arizona.

In addition to her law practice, Haley advocates for Arizona’s Anti-trafficking Network, where she helped develop the SAFE Action Project. She also trains professionals in the hospitality and tourism industry on how to identify, report, and prevent human trafficking. She is a member of the Professional Women’s Alliance, a program that champions female lawyers in the industry, as well as an active volunteer for non-profits, including the Wills for Heroes Foundation, Feed My Starving Children, and the Valley Young Professionals (a program of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce). She is also a sponsor for Compassion International and has volunteered hundreds of hours providing pro bono legal work.
