Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., a full service business law firm, announced today three shareholders have been named 2013 Lawyers of the Year by Best Lawyers, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession.
- Michael L. Gallagher has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Phoenix Sports Law "Lawyer of the Year."
- Michael M. Grant has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Phoenix Energy Law "Lawyer of the Year."
- Kevin E. O'Malley has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Phoenix Litigation - Municipal "Lawyer of the Year."
Best Lawyers only honors a single lawyer in each specialty, within each community as a “Lawyer of the Year.” Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
Michael L. Gallagher, named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Phoenix Sports Law "Lawyer of the Year," is co-founding partner of Gallagher & Kennedy. Mr. Gallagher practices in general civil litigation matters and serves as local, regional and national counsel to a variety of business clients. In the area of professional sports, he has represented athletes, franchises, leagues and cities. Mr. Gallagher earned his J.D. in 1970 from Arizona State University and his B.A. in 1966 from Arizona State University.
Michael M. Grant, named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Phoenix Energy Law “Lawyer of the Year,” practices in matters related to administrative, regulatory and public utility law. Mr. Grant regularly represents telecommunications, electric and gas utilities which operate in Arizona and other Western states on regulatory, litigation, legislation and other matters. Mr. Grant earned his J.D. in 1976 from Arizona State University and his B.A., summa cum laude, in 1973 from Arizona State University.
Kevin E. O’Malley, named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Phoenix Litigation – Municipal “Lawyer of the Year,” is head of Gallagher & Kennedy’s litigation practice. Mr. O’Malley’s practice covers a variety of civil litigation areas. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, in 1980 from Arizona State University and his B.S. in 1975 from Cornell University.
