Three G&K Shareholders Named Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona For 2024

AzBusiness Magazine, publishers of the annual Top 100 Lawyers list, has selected three Gallagher & Kennedy attorneys to its 2024 list of Arizona's top 100 lawyers.

Congratulations to Stephen Boatwright, Shannon Clark, and Jennifer Cranston.

Stephen R. Boatwright, Shareholder

Steve handles public and private business mergers and acquisitions for buyers and sellers of businesses of all kinds and advises companies in raising private equity and public financing. Whether seeking initial funding, expanding the business through follow on funding or acquisition, or pursuing an exit strategy through an asset/stock sale or public offering, Steve’s clients rely on his practical judgment and seasoned know-how gained over three decades to realize even their most lofty goals in all phases of financing, growth, and sale.

Source of pride: “I recently concluded my representation of a medical company whose product radiates cancerous cells. As its legal counsel for almost 20 years, I merged three companies concurrently and coordinated agreements to the merger among physicists, scientists and doctors. Taking the combined company public, we ultimately raised over $200 million on Wall Street. The main supplier for the client was in Russia, which meant complying with numerous nuclear, FDA and federal regulations, while simultaneously working with counsel in 20 unique specialties. I am proud of this work because, while professionally challenging, it was also rewarding to be part of the success of a life-saving product.”

Shannon Clark Personal Injury Attorney

Shannon L. Clark, Shareholder

Shannon is a member of the firm's board of directors and co-chair of the firm’s Plaintiff’s Personal Injury & Wrongful Death group. He has experience trying, litigating, and resolving cases involving motor vehicle crashes, aviation disasters, commercial trucking wrecks, product liability, and professional negligence.

Source of pride: “In my career, I’ve been a part of several cases that have caused product manufacturers to recall dangerous products and make them safer. I’m very proud to know that my work has been able to help secure compensation for deserving victims and also make the world a little bit safer of a place.”

Jennifer A. Cranston, Shareholder

Jennifer is a member of the firm’s board of directors. Her unique practice includes real estate, insurance coverage, and regulatory representation. For over 23 years, she has counseled land developers and private property owners in condemnation actions and valuation issues. In her insurance practice, Cranston advises insurers, business owners, and individuals on coverage and bad faith issues. In her regulatory practice, she advocates for public utilities in rate cases and before the Arizona Corporation Commission.

Source of pride: “It’s hard to pick a single event, so I’ll focus on a recent set of accomplishments instead. Over the past three years, I’ve helped three different clients attain excellent litigation results in cases where my clients were in the right — from a fairness perspective — but the law and the practicalities of our legal system created uphill battles. Achieving unexpected success for good people is an incredibly rewarding experience.”
