Otto Shill Appointed to the State Bar of Arizona Tax Law Section Executive Council

G&K is pleased to announce that shareholder Otto Shill has been appointed to the Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona’s Tax Law Section. His term as CLE Program & Luncheons Co-Chair is for the 2024-2025 year, and he will advise on educational programming and other non-voting matters. The purpose of the Tax Section is to promote the Bar’s objectives within the field of taxation, promote and maintain an active section membership, and provide leadership in the practice of tax law through education and professional development on the issues affecting tax attorneys and other tax professionals.

Otto has been a long-time member of the Tax Law Section and is active in numerous other professional organizations. He has earned recognition for his work from Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, and Martindale-Hubbell.

Recognized as a Certified Tax Specialist by the Board of Legal Specialization, Otto helps individuals, business owners, and employers comply with and plan for laws and regulations related to federal and state taxation, employee benefits, and executive compensation. He assists clients with audits, investigations, and regulatory disputes related to these areas, and advises businesses and their owners regarding business transactions and long-term business succession and estate planning.

Otto earned his LL.M. in taxation from Boston University and his law degree and undergraduate degree in accounting from Brigham Young University. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Arizona, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
