The Women Law Students’ Association (WLSA) and Government and Public Interest Law Student Association (GPILSA) at Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, hosted a panel discussion for law students to learn about serving on a nonprofit board of directors. In addition to G&K shareholder Jennifer Cranston, panelists included May Lu from Tiffany & Bosco, Andrea Marconi from Fennemore, and Rhonda Neff of Law Offices of Rhonda Neff. Facilitating the panel discussion was Megan Ealick, GPILSA President and 2L at ASU Law School.
Since joining G&K as a 2L summer associate in 1999 and as an associate attorney in 2000, Jennifer Cranston has focused her practice in three primary areas of law: real estate disputes involving condemnation and valuation issues; insurance coverage analysis and bad faith litigation; and public utility regulation. She serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and is a member of G&K’s Professional Women’s Group. Outside of the firm, Jennifer is an active member of Valley professional associations and community organizations, including serving as president and sponsorship committee co-chair of Arizona Commercial Real Estate Women (AZCREW), president of the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA), and past president of the MCBA’s Young Lawyers Division.

The Women Law Students Association (WLSA) at ASU promotes the role of women in the legal profession and society and provides support and encouragement to its members. One of the largest student organizations on campus, WLSA organizes two mentorship programs and hosts an annual silent auction to benefit a local nonprofit focusing on women’s legal issues in our community.

The Government and Public Interest Law Student Association (GPILSA) at ASU provides law students with information about the variety of career paths in the government and public interest legal fields. GPILSA also acts as a liaison between government agencies, public interest sectors, and law students to alert students of internships and externships, scholarships, and fellowship opportunities. GPILSA also provides law students with opportunities to network with attorneys in the government and public interest legal fields.
