She earned her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, graduating in the top 10% of her class, being named a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar, and earning four CALI Awards for excellence (the top grade in each class) in Legal Method and Writing, Torts, Legal Advocacy, and International Human Rights. Angela’s exceptional legal writing was further recognized with the highest grade in her section, and her closed memorandum was selected as a model for future students.
During law school, Angela worked at G&K as a 2024 Summer Associate, gaining experience across a variety of practice areas. She drafted litigation motions—including Daubert and alternative service motions—policy-limit demands, legal memoranda, and client communications. Angela also participated in case strategy meetings, conducted site visits, attended depositions, and supported client intake and evaluation processes.
Angela also earned a coveted judicial externship with Senior Judge James Teilborg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, gaining first-hand experience in federal court procedures and judicial decision-making, solidifying her passion for litigation.
Before law school, Angela worked as a senior litigation paralegal and paralegal office manager, managing a high-volume caseload involving personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, employment law, bad faith, and probate.
Angela earned a double major summa cum laude in Philosophy and Theology, and a minor in Human Life Studies, from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, graduating in the top 1% of her class. She won one of two Scanlan Scholarships, an invitation-only competition that awards two high-achieving applicants a four-year full-tuition scholarship. Angela is also an Italian Scholar Scholarship Recipient, awarded for academic excellence and community leadership.
As part of her minor degree, Angela concentrated in bioethics and legal studies. She earned an internship with Dr. Brian Scarnecchia, Head of the Legal Department, and researched case law and biological processes for a bioethics article regarding the science behind preeclampsia as an indicator for improving maternal health and reducing child mortality.
Angela also earned a spot in the University’s study abroad program to Gaming, Austria, and in an immersive French program in southern France, gaining conversational fluency in French and testing out of college-level French courses.
An Arizona native, Angela and her husband spend their free time hiking, hunting, and otherwise exploring the great outdoors with their four children. Angela is an avid fine art portraiture photographer and has had numerous photos published online.
COMMUNITY & PHILANTHROPY
In addition to her legal studies, Angela frequently volunteered and served as a keynote speaker and master of ceremonies for various functions, including the Women’s Health Center fundraising banquet. She served as a Student Ambassador for the University, a lobbyist for women’s rights, a women’s support group leader, a liberal arts director developing a course on the Classics, and a writer, editor, and photographer for the Franciscan Way Journal, a weekly University publication.
