Karin Aldama Joins ABA CLE Panel Examining When Fraud Voids Insurance Coverage

Shareholder Karin Aldama will participate in a panel discussion, “When Does Fraud Vitiate My Policy?" at the 2026 ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar.

Date: March 4, 2026 - March 7, 2026
Location: Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Tucson, Arizona

Friday, March 6, 2026
1:05 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. Session at the Roundtables Luncheon

Karin will be joined by Tred Eyerly from Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert for an in-depth discussion on the types of misrepresentations that may rise to the level of fraud sufficient to void an insurance policy. They will explore scenarios in which an insured unintentionally provides inaccurate information in an application or claim, the extent to which insurers must provide guidance in the submission process, and whether deviation from that guidance is necessary to establish fraud.

The discussion will also address an insured’s ability to challenge an insurer’s fraud determination at the summary judgment stage.
