Sarah earned her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, graduating ninth in her class and Order of the Coif. She earned CALI Awards (the top grade in each class) in eight courses—Legal Method & Writing, Legal Advocacy, Professional Responsibility, Arbitration, Decedents’ Estates, ADR & Employment Law, Court Practice in Probate & Trust, and Indian Legal Clinic-Estate Planning—and received the Best Oral Advocate Award in her legal advocacy coursework. Sarah also earned the Justice Charles E. Jones Scholarship and was named a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar.
During law school, Sarah worked as a summer associate at Gallagher & Kennedy in 2023 and 2024, gaining experience in various areas, including employment law, commercial litigation, environmental law, securities, and personal injury.
At ASU, she served as a Managing Editor and Staff Writer of the Arizona State Law Journal, a Teaching Assistant for Professional Responsibility, an Academic Success Program Legal Tutor, and a Research Assistant for Professor Susan McMahon. Sarah also volunteered on the Women Law Students’ Association Fundraising Committee.
In her final semester, Sarah served as a Rule 39 Certified Limited Practice Student in ASU’s Indian Legal Clinic, where she counseled clients and drafted wills and healthcare powers of attorney for members of the Gila River Indian Community, in compliance with the American Indian Probate Reform Act. She also earned a judicial externship with Judge Jennifer M. Perkins of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division I, and later externed with the Arizona Supreme Court Staff Attorneys’ Office, researching and drafting recommendations on Petitions for Review.
Sarah earned her B.A. magna cum laude in Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law and minors in Economics and Government & Public Policy from the University of Arizona’s W.A. Franke Honors College. She was recognized with the Dean’s Exemplary Award and Wildcat Distinction Scholarship and was a member of the Pride of Arizona Marching Band and performed with the Arizona Pomline.
In addition to her academic and legal accomplishments, Sarah serves as a Board Member and Director of Events for The Next Step Foundation Team Brandon, LLC. In this role, she helps secure grants and sponsorships and organizes the nonprofit's annual Vow to Drive Sober® 5k and Educational Expo.
An Arizona native, Sarah spends her weekends playing pickleball, hiking, or traveling to Montana to visit family.
