Dalva Moellenberg Joins New Mexico Environment Department’s Clean Transportation Fuel Standard Advisory Committee

New Mexico attorney Dalva Moellenberg has been selected to join the Advisory Committee of the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Clean Transportation Fuel Standard (CTFS). A shareholder in the firm’s environmental and natural resources practice, Dal represents environmental entities and associations throughout the southwest, and will serve on the Committee on behalf of the New Mexico Mining Association (NMMA).

The Advisory Committee convenes on June 21, 2024, and “includes stakeholders from in-state and out-of-state producers of transportation fuels, transportation fuel distributors, local governments, utilities, tribal governments, environmental protection groups, environmental justice groups, and other individuals or entities with relevant expertise to provide input and periodically review program rules.”

Members will provide subject matter expertise related to their topic area, which will be compiled into a summary and published for public review and input prior to NMED’s development and publication of a draft CTFS rule.  After receiving public comment on a draft CTFS rule, NMED plans to file a formal petition and proposed rule with the Environmental Improvement Board later this year.
