Karin Aldama to Present “Navigating AI-Driven Change in Insurance” for LAWPRACTICECLE

Shareholder Karin Aldama will present Navigating AI-Driven Change in Insurance, a LAWPRACTICECLE program examining how artificial intelligence is reshaping the legal landscape for insurers and policyholders. The program will take place on July 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MST / 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST.

The course will explore the expanding use of AI across the insurance lifecycle—including underwriting, claims handling, fraud detection, and customer interactions—and the legal risks that accompany those developments. Karin will address how traditional insurance law doctrines such as bad faith, unfair discrimination, and coverage interpretation apply when decisions are driven or influenced by algorithmic systems, while also highlighting emerging regulatory expectations surrounding transparency, governance, and fairness.

The program will also cover litigation issues arising from AI-related insurance disputes, including discovery challenges, evidentiary concerns, the role of expert testimony, and evolving strategies for both insurer-side and policyholder counsel. Additional topics include state, federal, and international regulatory developments, the impact of AI on traditional and emerging insurance products, and practical guidance for attorneys advising clients on compliance, risk mitigation, and litigation strategy.

The course will be recorded remotely and broadcast the following week for live CLE credit. Attorneys who register will also have access to the on-demand program through LAWPRACTICECLE’s media hub for 18 months following the recording date.
