Conflicts/New Matter Coordinator

Full-time Conflicts/New Matter Coordinator to work with the firm’s General Counsel and its accounting department.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing searches to identify potential conflicts of interest for all new firm clients and new matters.
  • Identifying, summarizing, and reporting results in appropriate format.
  • Verifying accuracy and completeness of information provided.
  • Coordinating the legal file opening process and ensuring uniform adherence to the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures as they relate to New Client Memoranda, New Matter Forms, Conflict Check Reports, Client/Matter Change Forms, etc.
  • Providing training and support to legal assistants, attorneys, and members of the accounting department regarding conflict/matter opening and client/matter changes.
  • Providing backup and assistance to others in the accounting department as needed/requested.
  • Working on special projects as needed.
  • Qualified candidates should have:
  • High School diploma.
  • At least two years of experience in an office environment.
  • Online and software search skills.
  • Proofreading and attention to detail skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent judgment, problem solving, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of activities and to work under pressure.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Bankruptcy Litigation Secretary

Full-time experienced litigation secretary to join our bankruptcy practice group. Candidate must have 5+ years litigation experience; possess excellent organizational and clerical abilities; be a self-starter; have strong written and verbal communication skills; and be extremely detail oriented.

Prior bankruptcy litigation experience a plus and O365 and iManage experience preferred.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
