Tyler R. Thorne
Tyler Thorne is a corporate transactional attorney at Gallagher & Kennedy, where he helps young entrepreneurs, startups, eCommerce companies, and athletes-turned-business owners and investors through the legal process of starting and operating a business. Tyler takes pride in being responsive and putting his clients first.
His practice includes drafting and reviewing formation and operating contracts for businesses, such as internal governance agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Tyler helps clients protect their brands with trademark assistance and works to protect their companies by resolving intra-company disputes and contract disputes. When companies are seeking to grow, expand, or raise capital, Tyler advises on M&A deals, franchise agreements, private equity and public offerings, and securities laws compliance.
Tyler has developed a niche practice representing athletes in their post-career ventures from his own experience as a professional baseball player-turned-lawyer. Before law school, Tyler was a pitcher in the Milwaukee Brewers Organization and a collegiate baseball player and team captain at Stanford University.
While earning his law degree from The University of Arizona, Tyler gained practical legal experience as an extern for Justice Ann Timmer at the Arizona Supreme Court and for Judge Maria Elena Cruz at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One. To gain practical client service experience in a corporate environment, Tyler also externed at Harvest Health & Recreation and worked as Special Assistant to the President at KVA Sports Agency.
