During law school, Erin served as Editor-in-Chief and Staff Writer of the Arizona State Law Journal, Director of Business Affairs of the Women Law Students Association, and Founding Member & Director of Pro Bono of the Family Law Interest Project. She was a judicial extern at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, where she gained valuable courtroom experience conducting research on discrete legal issues and analyzing trial records and case documents for reversible error in criminal appeals.
Erin also earned two summer internships at G&K, where she worked across multiple practice areas, including utilities, personal injury, employment, bankruptcy, real estate, Indian law, corporate transactions, and commercial litigation. Her hands-on experience included conducting an independent interview of statutory beneficiaries in a wrongful death police shooting case, as well as helping a trial team prepare for a complex breach of contract case by generating deposition summaries, voir dire, interrogatory responses, and jury instructions. Erin also drafted an array of legal documents, including a section of an appellate brief for the Indian Court of Appeals, an initial disclosure statement, demand letters, a Notice of Claim letter, an EEOC position statement, and research memoranda.
During her second year of law school, Erin worked as a student-attorney at the Indian Legal Clinic, where she independently managed case files for Native American probate and estate planning clients, including performing legal research, handling client and creditor communication, and filing court documents. She also participated in two on-site, weekend wills clinics at reservations across Arizona and California to prepare wills for Native clients compliant with the American Indian Probate Reform Act (AIPRA).
Before law school, Erin worked for a year as an exam security coordinator for the Project Management Institute (PMI) where she helped develop and implement a comprehensive test security program for PMI’s flagship certification exam in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Away from the office, Erin enjoys creating and selling wheel-thrown pottery, binge-reading Agatha Christie novels, and grilling for friends and family with her fiancé in their new home.
