Tyler J. Carrell Becomes the First Attorney in Arizona History
to Serve Concurrently as President of the State and
Maricopa County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division
Phoenix, ARIZ. (June 11, 2015) – Gallagher & Kennedy, a full-service business law firm, today announced that Tyler J. Carrell, a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star, has begun serving his year-long term as President of the State Bar of Arizona Young Lawyers Division (YLD). Mr. Carrell is also the current President of the Maricopa County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. No attorney has ever held these positions at the same time.

Mr. Carrell’s term as President of the State Bar YLD runs through June 2016. He previously served as President-Elect and Treasurer of the YLD. In addition, Mr. Carrell is a member of the State Bar of Arizona Board of Governors, which governs the Arizona Bar and all attorneys licensed in Arizona.
The State Bar Division (YLD) is a professional service organization specifically created for lawyers who are under 37 years of age, or have been in practice for five years or less. Approximately one-third of all Arizona attorneys are members of the YLD. Members of the YLD donate an exceptional amount of time to pro bono legal services, charity events and civic engagement throughout Arizona.
Mr. Carrell is an associate practicing in the areas of real estate transactions, commercial litigation and general corporate law. In addition to his roles at the State and County Bar YLDs, Mr. Carrell is also a member of the University of Arizona Alumni Association, the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations and the Brophy Alumni Association.
