Rob Dalager Appointed by Mayor Gordon to Transit Commission

GALLAGHER & KENNEDY’S ROBERT D. DALAGER APPOINTED BY MAYOR GORDON
AS CHAIRMAN OF THE PHOENIX CITIZEN’S TRANSIT COMMISSION

PHOENIX (September 20, 2010) – Phoenix-based Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., a full-service business law firm, announced today that shareholder Robert D. Dalager has been appointed by Mayor Phil Gordon as Chairman of the Phoenix Citizen’s Transit Commission.

Mr. Dalager practices governmental affairs and land use law for Gallagher & Kennedy. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dalager was with the Arizona State Senate for nearly 10 years, helping to manage all aspects of Senate operations and staff, including budgeting, personnel, building and facilities, research and constituent contact. He also advised the President of the Senate and members of the majority party on a variety of legislative, as well as legal, issues, and was instrumental in developing Arizona Capitol TV (ACTV) which provides live broadcast of legislative committee and floor action. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and received his law degree from Creighton University.

The Phoenix Citizen’s Transit Commission was established in 2000 as part of a tax referendum to institute a 4/10 cent sales tax in Phoenix to pay for transit improvements. The measure also created a citizen oversight committee to monitor transit expenditures, with the Mayor and City Council Members appointing members to the commission.
