Rob Dalager Appointed by Governor to Commission on Trial Court Appointments

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer Appoints Gallagher & Kennedy Attorney
To Commission on Trial Court Appointments

PHOENIX (January 26, 2011) – Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has appointed attorney Robert D. Dalager of Phoenix-based law firm Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A to the Commission on Trial Court Appointments, Maricopa County. He was confirmed this week by the Arizona State Senate.

Sixteen members make up the Commission on Trial Court Appointments (Maricopa County Commission). Mr. Dalager is one of five attorneys on the Commission. The Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court serves as Chairman. The members review judicial applications for Maricopa Country Superior Court by conducting investigations, holding public hearings and taking public testimony. Mr. Dalager was also appointed by Phoenix Mayor Gordon in 2010 to the role of Chairman of the City of Phoenix Citizen’s Transit Commission.

Mr. Dalager practices governmental affairs and land use law at Gallagher & Kennedy. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dalager was with the Arizona State Senate for nearly 10 years, helping to manage all aspects of Senate operations and staff, including budgeting, personnel, building and facilities, research and constituent contact. He also advised the President of the Senate and members of the majority party on a variety of legislative, as well as legal, issues, and was instrumental in developing Arizona Capitol TV (ACTV) which provides live broadcast of legislative committee and floor action. He received his B.S. from Arizona State University and his J.D. from Creighton University.
