G&K Adds New Shareholder, Michael G. Galloway, to the Firm’s Tax Law Practice Group

GALLAGHER & KENNEDY ADDS NEW SHAREHOLDER,
MICHAEL G. GALLOWAY, TO THE FIRM’S TAX LAW PRACTICE GROUP

PHOENIX, Ariz. (June 30, 2014) – The law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy announced today that Michael G. Galloway has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Tax Law practice group.

Mr. Galloway focuses his practice in all aspects of state and local taxation, including tax controversy, property tax, income tax and employment tax as well as related administrative and judicial appeals before numerous courts and agencies. “Working with corporations, employers and property owners to develop and implement tax strategies and challenge tax assessments has a direct impact on their bottom line,” said Galloway.

Mr. Galloway has been recognized as a Southwest Super Lawyer since 2009 and as one of Arizona’s Finest Lawyers since 2011. He received the Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent Rating and was recognized as the Arizona Tax Research Association Member of the Year in 2006. Within in the State Bar of Arizona, Mr. Galloway is a Certified Specialist in Tax Law, a member of the Tax Law Advisory Commission and a member and past chair of the Tax Law Section. He serves on the State and Local Tax Committee for the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation, the Board of Directors for the Arizona Tax Research Association, the Arizona State Senate Property Tax Appeals Study Committee and is an Administrative Law Judge for the Arizona State Board of Equalization.

Mr. Galloway earned his LL.M in 1987 from the University of San Diego with a concentration in tax law. He earned his J.D. in 1982 from Washburn University and his B.S. in 1979 from the University of Kansas.
