GALLAGHER & KENNEDY ADDS NEW ATTORNEY, ALEXIS GLASCOCK, TO THE FIRM’S GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS & LOBBYING GROUP
PHOENIX, Ariz. (December 5, 2013) – Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., a full service business law firm, announced today that Alexis Glascock has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Government Affairs & Lobbying group. Returning to the private sector, Ms. Glascock will use her public sector experience to advance Arizona policy issues and legislation, as well as political strategy, government relations and campaigns.
Prior to joining Gallagher & Kennedy, Ms. Glascock served on the state’s Legislative Council, during which time she implemented an automated research tool that provides efficient access to more than 3,000 legal opinions by the legislature. She also effectively researched and drafted legal opinions regarding the constitutionality of legislation and represented the legislature in legal challenges where the Attorney General’s office had a conflict of interest. Additionally, Ms. Glascock served as Counsel to the President of the Arizona Senate, drafting legislation and overseeing the passage of bills.
Ms. Glascock is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the District of Columbia Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She served as president and is on the board of the Harvard Club of Phoenix; has served as chair for the Phoenix Symphony Gala and the Crisis Nursery Benefit; was the grade level coordinator for All Saints’ Episcopal Day School; and speaks Mandarin and Spanish fluently.
Ms. Glascock earned her J.D. in 1989 from the University of Virginia’s School of Law. She earned her M.A. from Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and her B.A. from Wellesley College.
