Donna H. Catalfio and Andrea L. Stone Rejoin Firm

 PHOENIX, Ariz. (February 21, 2013) – Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., a full service business law firm, announced today that Donna H. Catalfio and Andrea L. Stone will rejoin the firm’s intellectual property practice group after two years away from the firm. Joining distinguished intellectual property attorney Robert Itri, the firm provides both transactional and litigation services for their intellectual property clients.

As shareholder, Ms. Catalfio practices in both intellectual property litigation and transactional matters. She is an experienced litigator in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, cybersquatting, unfair competition, breach of contract and false advertising. She brings extensive experience counseling clients on intellectual property protection and managing intellectual property portfolios for companies of all sizes. Ms. Catalfio routinely assists clients in obtaining federal trademark protection, including clearance of marks, filing applications and responding to office actions from trademark examiners. Additionally, her experience includes negotiating and drafting intellectual property licenses, assignments, security agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, endorsement agreements, sponsorship agreements and other similar contracts.

Ms. Catalfio is a registered patent attorney and was recognized as a 2012 Southwest Rising Star in “Southwest Super Lawyers.” She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2002 from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Her B.S. in Chemical Engineering with honors is from Louisiana State University.

Ms. Stone is an associate whose practice covers all aspects of intellectual property, including intellectual property counseling, protection and litigation. She has significant experience litigating patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, false advertising and domain name disputes. She also regularly assists clients by providing brand clearance opinions, registering trademarks, negotiating intellectual property driven transactions and advising on the use of social media.

Ms. Stone is a registered patent attorney. She earned her J.D. in 2008 from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2005.
