GALLAGHER & KENNEDY ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF NEW SHAREHOLDER TO THE FIRM’S LITIGATION DEPARTMENT

PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 11, 2013) – Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., a full service business law firm, today announced Booker T. Evans as shareholder and the most recent addition to the firm’s Criminal Defense Department.

Mr. Evans focuses his practice in the areas of white collar criminal defense and general commercial litigation. His experience includes criminal and civil RICO cases, fraud, insurance matters and healthcare. He has substantial civil and criminal trial experience, along with post-conviction case experience in the federal court system and matters involving the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Mr. Evans is a member of the State Bars of Arizona and Nevada, the U.S. District Court, Districts of Arizona and Nevada and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit Court.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Evans served as a psychologist and director of the Westside Counseling Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also served as a counselor and assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and at Miami-Dade Community College.

Mr. Evans has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2010, the Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating and was selected as one of Arizona’s Finest Lawyers in 2011. He has received multiple diversity awards which include the Champion of Diversity Award, the NAACP Legal Redress Award and the MLK Justice Award. He is an inaugural class member of the 2011 Hall of Fame for the School of Behavioral Sciences at Northern Arizona University. Mr. Evans earned his J.D. in 1978 from Saint Louis University, having attended Northern Arizona University where he earned his M.A. in 1970 and his B.A. in 1969.
