Tyler J. Carrell Elected President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Maricopa County Bar Association

ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE YOUNG LAWYERS DIVISION
OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION

PHOENIX, Ariz. (January 24, 2014) – The law firm of Gallagher &  Kennedy today announced that Tyler J. Carrell has been elected to serve as president of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA) for 2014-2015. 

Mr. Carrell is one of the youngest attorneys ever elected president of YLD. He previously served as treasurer in 2013 and has been an active member of the organization since 2010.

The Young Lawyers Division of the MCBA is a philanthropic organization specifically for lawyers who are under 37 years old, or have been in practice for five years or less.  Members of the YLD donate an exceptional amount of time to pro bono legal services, charity events and civic engagement throughout Maricopa County. 

Mr. Carrell is an associate practicing in the area of bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, and general commercial litigation.  In addition to his role as president for the YLD of the Maricopa County Bar Association, he serves on the executive council for the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Arizona.  He is a member of the University of Arizona Alumni Association, the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations and the Brophy Alumni Association.  He earned his J.D. in 2010 from Arizona State University.
