Gallagher & Kennedy shareholder and environmental attorney Stuart Kimball was recently interviewed by Connor Emery, reporter for KYMA 11, regarding the Arizona State Land Department’s termination of five state land agricultural leases held by AgTech and related entities in Yuma County.
The KYMA report examined the decision to terminate the leases and included comments from Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes regarding concerns raised by Yuma-area residents about AgTech’s biosolids operations. AgTech has retained Gallagher & Kennedy to represent the company as it reviews the lease terminations and considers appropriate legal action.

Speaking on behalf of AgTech, Stuart addressed the company’s concerns regarding how the circumstances surrounding the lease terminations have been characterized.
One of the main issues we have is kind of both the mischaracterization or distortion of both facts and law. For example, if you actually take a look at the Arizona State Land Department’s letters to AgTech, the way it’s being characterized by all the elected officials is inaccurate.
