Benson and Nañez Secure Emergency Custody Modification to Protect Child’s Safety

Attorneys Melissa Benson and Elizabeth Nañez recently obtained a significant parenting time modification on behalf of a father concerned for his young daughter’s safety. The case involved an emergency filing and a Temporary Orders Hearing held in February 2025, after the father raised concerns about an unsafe environment and domestic issues at the mother’s residence.

Benson and Nañez presented a compelling case supported by evidence and testimony, leading the Court to act swiftly in the child’s best interest. Later that month, the Court issued Temporary Orders returning the child to her father’s care, prioritizing her safety and well-being.

This result underscores the family law team’s ability to respond effectively in urgent family law matters and their commitment to advocating for the protection and welfare of children in vulnerable situations.
