• Serious physical injury or substantial disfigurement to another;
• Using a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument to intentionally place someone in imminent fear of serious physical injury;
• Ordinary assault on public servants, such as a police officers, teachers, prosecutors, health care providers, or prison guards, is categorized as a felony as a result of the alleged victim’s public servant status;
• A person 18 years of age or older committing misdemeanor assault on a child who is 15 years old (or younger).
