Chuck has substantial experience with commercial disputes involving contracts or business torts, the defense of professional negligence claims, and environmental litigation in both state and federal courts. Having handled civil litigation matters in Phoenix and throughout Arizona for more than 40 years, Chuck has extensive experience in commercial and business disputes of all types, including breach of contract and fiduciary duties, fraud and misrepresentation, civil RICO, and securities litigation and FINRA arbitrations.  He has defended numerous professional liability claims for physicians, attorneys and architects.  In recent years, Chuck has focused his practice on representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death claims and in pursuing tort and contract damages on behalf of individuals against corporations and other business entities.

Representative Experience

  • Assisted a motorcyclist and his wife in pursuing claims against a governmental agency for negligently maintaining a highway construction zone and thereby causing the motorcyclist to crash and sustain severe head injuries.
  • Pursued claims on behalf of the beneficiaries of a life insurance policy against a national life insurance company that accepted the premium payment, but then refused to pay the death benefit when the insured passed away.
  • Acted as part of a team that prosecuted, and successfully settled, a multi-million dollar claim against a national title insurance company alleging breach of contract and fraud.
  • Helped an elderly client who was blinded in one eye due to an eye surgeon’s alleged malpractice file and successfully resolve her claim.
  • Participated in the defense of a company that provides advice regarding medical emergencies involving air passengers while their flight is in route.
  • Negotiated a favorable resolution on behalf of a manufacturing client regarding potential Superfund liability.
  • Successfully resolved a claim against a national car seat manufacturer alleging the existence of a defect that resulted in a child’s death.
  • Helped as a team member in pursuing a Qui Tam action alleging Medicare fraud.
